Playing house was so much easier when it was pretend.
But I signed up for this, right?
After all, I do know the saying first comes love, then comes marriage...
but somewhere in the fine print it said,
next comes loads of laundry,
cleaning pee-soaked mattresses,
playing guard over the fridge,
refereeing wrestling matches that put WWF to shame,
trying to maintain the crazy,
and control the chaos.
That's a lot of fine print. They always get you with the fine print.
Somewhere, in between the sticky hands and the endless amounts of dishes there's a silver lining, but right now I'm just too tired to find it.
Regardless, I still love being a Mom. It's true. I mean, where else can you find constant entertainment 24/7 and not have to pay a penny for it? If your day is ever lacking in excitement just come make a visit and I promise to liven it up.

Guaranteed or your money back.
*Actually, I can't guarantee your money back. We run a strict no exchange, no return policy.
Hope you read the fine print.

Ginnie,
I love reading your posts. Everything you write is so true, but you make it funny and light. -You should be a writer, along with taking pictures! :) You're so talented.
It's a good thing they don't show you the fine print. Otherwise we might never sign up for this totally rewarding, wonderful gig called being a wife and mother.
You really do have a talent for making 'real life moments' a lot more exciting!!!
I had to tell you: I changed my daughter's diaper the other day (9 months) and found quite a large chunk of a popped ballon in it (ugh).. I immediately thought of you and your daughters dietary habits!!
*here's to hoping a balloon is the only "non-edible" item I come across!!
All I can say is you make me smile! Your posts are what we all secretly feel you just do a good job at putting it into words. PS I literally laughed outloud at your first swear word... why don't I remember that? Oh the good ol' times of recess!
So true and so wonderful!
We miss you guys!
Stephanie,
I'm sorry your daughter is starting to choose the path my daughter has taken. I will pray for you. ;)
OMGosh, You just reminded me! My little one wet the bed last night and I forgot about it. Off to wash! Thank god for febreze. Nothing like the smell of the tropics and urine to drift off to dream land. Yes, she did it in my bed:)
