The catch?
Well, it's pretty simple. Ever since I did that little interview over on Miss Marta's blog I've been thinking (dangerous, I know). She asked the question, "What makes you happy?" it was like a breath of fresh air thinking about all the positive things that surround my life. So I want to know, what makes YOU happy? (here's my list from my interview)
Buying a $40 shirt on a $15 sale.
All you can eat breakfast buffet.
Falling asleep next to my hubby with our feet intertwined.
Watching my kids play together.
Freshly shaved legs.
High thread-count sheets.
The smell of fresh baked bread.
Making my hubby smile.
Having a full pantry.
Dark Chocolate & Diet Coke… the two belong together.
High heels.
Getting real mail from a friend, the kind of mail the postman has to deliver.
The sun shining through my window.

Great idea! Things that make me happy:
My little Clara!! My husband; my sisters; going to the temple; good friends (especially Ginnie (:); taking a nap; bluegrass music; playing my banjo; family vacations; a beautiful produce section; flowers blooming; the smell of new plastic (although I try not to smell it too much!); historical sites; weddings; singing; eating really delicious food; babies being born; spring and fall; the first snow...okay just about everything makes me happy! It is fun to think about!
P.S. your music playlist makes me happy and all of my sisters and I listen to it as our fav. background music while on the computer--funny huh!
Oooooh FUN! I am in desperate need of a little spice on my header.. you and Nate do look quite spicey too...
What makes me happy? Lots of stuff. Kids who eat breakfast w/o throwing it at eachother. Cleaning the bathroom and no one using it for at least 1 hr so I can enjoy the fresh scent. And 8:00 on a Thursday night in my pj's with a bowl of Oreo ice cream.
oh ya, my husband and 5 kids of course!!! (i didn't forget them..)
Hmm, besides boondoggle?
Washing Machines that don't ruin my clothes
Outside places for my kids to play that aren't dotted with cigarette butts
A ward that's not losing 2-4 families every week
A baby that sleeps for more than 10 minutes at a time
A husband that stays awake when I talk to him...

A new blog header would definitely make me happy! :) And I'm happy that Marta interviewed you because you crack me up every time I read your blog... other than that a couple of things that make me happy:
-chocolate covered cinnamon bears
-when my husband gets home from work early
-being organized
-reading a good book and watching the rain
-falling asleep to a good movie with my hubby
what a fun idea.
HMMMM. . . I am just a happy person all round BUT here are a few:

Let's see....what makes me happy? reading a good book, rainy summer nights, the sun and warm weather, my boys playing nicely together, spending time with my hubby, teaching my darling students, girls night out, bonco night, Grey's Anatomy on Thursday nights with a bowl of hot buttered popcorn, Dr. Pepper and dark chocolates, hanging with my parents, bugging my bro when he doesn't call me, and lounging in the pool on hot summer days. By the way, you and Nate....Hot! You look like you are going to devour him!

Reading your blog makes me happy, and seeing that picture of you and Nate. lol :) Warm sunny weather. Getting help with the dishes. Being with family. Good music. Creamies popsicles. This is a interesting new twist...If I don't want the sweater can I get a knitted sock instead, and can you sew. "this is for Jana with love" on the toe line too?? That would make it extra special for sure, then everyone would know it was mine and not steal them. The stealing of socks is a obvious problem that needs to be adressed, I think it has been ignored for far too long. Maybe I should corner the dryer on that one???
Anyway, lets leave the novel behind and get to the task at hand here.
What makes me happy...A fresh smelling summer evening, the smell of Christmas for sure. My sistes and my oldest and dearest friends. watching my children sleep. Seeing my children grow into great, strong people. Watching my husband snuggle with the kids, and telling the girls they are beautiful.
SOngs that bring back the good times in my past. My ever so great BFF Stephanie! ( I do notice the lack of the "jana" mention in her post, but I am o.k with that, just a single tear is all..easy to wipe away....And crawling into bed at night after the kids are in bed and watching some Reba before drifting off to sleep. I could go on and on, but I won't this is already a little ridiculous......

On a day like today...
Curling up on the couch to silence once the kids are tucked in bed.

Sneaking in at the last moment. I just returned from Utah, my grandfather's funeral, in-laws 50 year wedding anniversary, and seeing a brother enter the MTC. It was an emotional vacation, and it brought to light what makes me happy. Family and friends, and choosing to be content with life just the way it is. I love my life and I am happy. Oh, and I really could use your header, or at least a tutorial!
