Well, at least I don't think I am... I am very much use to being the youngest wherever I go. I'm the youngest in my family so by default that makes me the baby. Whenever I tell people I'm the youngest of 8 I usually get the response, in a high pitched squeal, "Oh you're the baby!" -except for the occasion that I told some Hispanics that I was the youngest of 8 and they laughed and said, "Sus padres están como conejitos" which translates into your parents are like bunnies. I laughed until I understood what they meant.
I also have a lot of friends that are older than me more well seasoned than I am. I guess what I lack in age I make up for in maturity. I know what you're thinking, pffft, ya right! But seriously, I just ooze maturity... ahem.
So, where was I... oh, I'm not old. Well, the other evening I was talking with this girl. She was telling me that after I left her house she was going to go out to eat with her husband, then she quickly said, "I know we are going out a little late, but 9:00 is still early to me. I'm still young". The whole time she said this I was thinking to myself, is she referring to me as old. Me?! Does she know how not old I am? I did a quick glance around me just to make sure there weren't any elderly ladies standing behind me. Nope, no one was there. It was just me. I kind of felt like saying, "Oh, 9:00 really? Sometimes when I'm feeling wild I like to go out at 10:00 pm , but that's only when I'm feeling rebellious and crazy" but I didn't say anything. I just sat there, smiled, and nodded my head agreeing saying, "9:00, whew that's late". Then I went home, climbed into my moo-moo, turned on reruns of I Love Lucy and knitted a sweater.

Ginnie! That was great. It is so true though when you finally get catogorized by someone as "old." Being in the Young Womens should have prepared you for that one!!! I look at myself and think I still am "young" looking. Then I look again and see the 30 years showing themselves in oh so many ways and say "I am only kidding myself." Such is life, right.
we are totally geriatric eaters--we've found that if we show up for dinner at 5pm on the weekends that we can still hit the 7pm movie.
i'm just waiting for the day when i can order off the senior citizen's menu.

I have it from a reliable source that you are wild and crazy!! And on occation you stay out really late into the wee hours of the morning chatting it up with your good friends. So there your not old, your just cool. I love I Love Lucy I watch it every night!! Seriously
you are craz-ee! we go to chuckarama at 3:30 so we get the lunch price, but sit around and wait till dinner is brought out at 4. we are sneaky..always livin on the edge! btw- yes, i was a grade younger than you, but that doesnt make you old..just a little more seasoned. he he.
Well if you are old I better start shopping for walkers.. Just rememebr ther will always be someoen older than you....

Ok, I'm the baby too. Still get called the baby of the family and I'm older than dirt. I'll give you my two cents on being old. (How bout that saying?) Does that date me or what? I used think anyone born after I graduated from High School was a baby. Now they are 46 and have married kids. I get automatic discounts at restaurants. I say "FOR RUDE! the least you could do is ask." Your still just the little girl next door to me. (Hope that isn't an insult.) Love you anyway and what ever age you are. Just are cute, wonderful mom!!
I think everyone seems "young" until they have kids. Once the babies come, its all downhill with the aging process. So just keep knitting those sweaters! ha ha. JK. I think you look young and you are tons of fun... so dont worry!!!
