I MISS YOU DEARLY!
Eating has not been nearly as enjoyable as it use to be when I could actually chew you. I think braces could be considered cruel and unusual punishment to someone who loves food. I guess for now, I will stick with your friends cottage cheese, yogurt, oatmeal, eggs, Wendy's chili, mashed potatoes, and any other food item that reminds me of what I use to feed my babies. I haven't lost all hope yet. In fact, if I get really desperate, there's always the blender to fall back on. If I can't chew my Cafe Rio burrito, then I will at least try to swallow it with a straw... OK, not quite that desperate... not yet anyway.

I think my new soft food diet is going to get really old pretty quick.
Last night I had eggs & rice for dinner. I kid you not. Weird? Yes. Tasty? Actually, yes.
I need some other food ideas. Have any?
And don't say baby food. I've already thought about that one.
Oh, and don't say Nate can chew it for me. I've already thought of that one too.

...then let your kids chew it for you!!
I promise it will get better! I remember when I got mine, I thought I would never eat anything normal again. For the first couple weeks I just broke everything apart in small pieces and ate with my back teeth. good luck, when will we get to see a picture Brace Face???
So Mike and I both have braces... (yes, we are very cute together) and the diet had to change to soup, mashed potatoes, and such for a week or so, but now we are back to the same old food. It took me about a month to be able to bite into stuff - although apples are still and always will be out of the ? but for some reason I still pack them in lunches without cutting them up. Have fun - they are such a delight!
Hmm Never having braces myself I am going to say Ice Cream, or milkshakes.
I agree when do we get to see brace face in pictures.
LoL... I'm sorry your sore but it is kinda funny... Also It's time to start chewing gum. (Sugar free gum so it doesn't stick)!
I worked for an orthodontist and chewing gum cuts the pain time down almost in half!! so the day you get them adjusted chew gum and take some advil (NOT TYLENOL). The more you chew the faster the lactic acid moves out of your mouth the sooner you feel normal
jamba juice or any kind of smoothie. go get a big bag of frozen fruit from costco.
I am dying to see a picture though. Come on, I could use a good laugh!
oh you poor girl...I think I would turn to pudding, ice cream, and soft pie's. That is my only suggestion. I heard somewhere that in Hawaii they have really nice soft food, everywhere. Its like a brace's wearing wonderland!! Something to think about...
Don't worry! you'll get back to eating normally soon! I still remember when I got mine on... WOW, I was not expecting it to hurt, or for my teeth to me so sensitive! literally, all I had to do was touch one of my teeth with a finger and it hurt! Hopefully you are feeling better! :)how long do you have to wear them?
