Just choose from the list of things you can say to try and comfort me:
- We can still go out in public together as long as you walk a good 20 ft behind me.
- Sure we could still be friends. Just make sure not to smile when we talk to people I know.
- I won't make fun of you... at least to your face.
- If you never talk no one will ever know.
- Look at it this way, at least you're already married. Nate's love for you is unconditional... right?
- I'll still want to hang out with you, especially when I want to feel better about myself.
- It's OK Ginnie, lots of people have braces... except most of them haven't hit puberty yet.
- I'll make sure to tell you, "It doesn't matter what's on the outside. It's what's on the inside that counts" just to make you feel better.
- If you have food caught in your braces I will be the first to tell you. That's what friends are for.
- Ginnie, it's all about the accessories. Braces will add a little bling to your grill and help you achieve uber hotness.

Oh you will be just as sexy as you are now even with a brace face (wink). Don't even remember your teeth being jacked up- hey, it's the cool thing to do now. So many of my friends are getting them or have them already. Boy, Nate is really not going to be able to keep his hands off you after the bling is off. Watch out girl!
I say you and Janae do an adult orthodontia photo shoot complete with 80's hair. WORK it! OWN it! :)
Kami, I think you might be on to something...
I think one of the best things about you getting braces is that you can take your snacks "to go". You just eat something a bit stringy or sticky and you can munch and munch all day long!!
For the real record.. I think your teeth look fine now and will look FABULOUS after!

Not that you need it, but braces will make you look younger. Everyone will look at you and wonder how that teenage girl wound up with three kids. Besides, Dr. Lee is awesome! Who wouldn't want to visit him regularly?
Oh, I feel for you. But, I know quite a few people our age who have them, no biggie. My Aunt just got braces a few years ago, she was 45 I think. So at least you are doing it now, and then you will get to enjoy your gorgeous teeth. :)

Sadly for you, I will be at Disneyland, kid free mind you, while you get your braces on. I will think of you.
